For a single file DCoM SWF Optimizer can:
- Replace a tag by a shorter one.
- Proclaim a tag short if it can be short and its length is less than 63 bytes.
- Remove ActionScripts that don't contain any meaningful commands.
- Remove an object if it isn't used in any tags (except ActionScript).
- Remove multiple ExportAssets tags of the same object.
- Remove comments, EXIF-information, etc. from embedded JPEG images.
For several files DCoM SWF Optimizer:
- Detects identical objects and if it is possible exports them to a separate file for further joint use.
- Detects identical classes of interface components and if it is possible exports them to the new files, that results in decrease of amount information of downloaded from a server.
System requirements:
DCoM SWF Protector operates under Windows 2000, Windows Xp, Windows 2003 or Windows Vista, Linux, and Mac OS .
The program needs some libraries to be installed.

Methods of optimization:
There are some optimization methods flags below the table. Using Check boxes it’s possible to adjust an optimization method for your project.
- Adjust tag version - Replacing of a tag by a shorter one.
- Shrink tag header - Proclaims a tag short if it can be short and its length is less than 63 bytes.
- Remove empty actions - Removing of ActionScripts that don`t contain any meaningful commands.
- Remove unused objects - If an object isn`t used in any tags (except ActionScript), it will be removed (ActionScript analyses aren`t realized, therefore if there is a dynamic use of objects in a Flash file, the method must be unchecked.
- Remove multiple exports - Removing of multiple ExportAssets tags of the same object.
- Optimize embedded JPEGs - Removing of comments, EXIF-information etc. from embedded JPEG images.
- Extract common characters - Detecting of identical objects and if possible export to a separate file.
- Extract common components - Detecting of identical classes of interface components and if it is possible export to the new files.
